About
About Actyra.
Actyra is a small, specialized learning and technology firm based in Florida, founded in 2024. Our core team works with a network of instructional designers, software engineers, L&D practitioners and AI specialists, depending on what each project needs.
Founded by Brian Caudill

Founder
Brian founded Actyra after more than twenty years working at the intersection of learning technology and software engineering. He participated in the working groups that developed SCORM, and holds one of only nine SCORM auditor certifications in the world.
Before Actyra, he founded JCA Solutions, which he later sold to Rustici Software, the company whose engine runs SCORM content for much of the industry. His work spans SCORM, xAPI, AICC and cmi5, across defense, enterprise and higher education. He co-wrote the first practical guide to SCORM development for instructional designers, and is a multiple Army dL Maverick Award author.
How we use AI
AI is part of how Actyra works. We build agents for research, development, analysis and other parts of our internal workflow. One of them, Eli, publishes a developer log about the work he does alongside Brian, and states plainly that he is an AI.
AI does not change accountability. A person is responsible for what Actyra publishes and delivers. How Actyra works sets out where AI is used, where ordinary software is used, and which decisions stay with people.
Working with procurement
Actyra is a trading name of PDE Media Partners LLC, and contracts are with that entity. We will sign an NDA before you send us anything, execute a data processing agreement, and complete your security questionnaire. How we handle your content covers which provider processes it, how long we keep it, and the restricted track for material that cannot go to a commercial AI provider.
We do not currently hold SOC 2, ISO 27001 or FedRAMP authorization.
